[JUST IN]: Pro-Biafra Advocates Storm Washington, Engage U.S. Lawmakers Over Nnamdi Kanu Detention (Full Details)

A pro-Biafra advocacy group has said diplomatic outreach efforts are ongoing in the United States aimed at raising international awareness about the detention of IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and broader issues surrounding self-determination.

According to a statement accompanying a video circulating online, author and business strategist Mark Faust was seen alongside Chief Evans Nwankwo of Ambassadors for Self-Determination, reportedly engaging policymakers and opinion leaders in Washington, D.C. The group said the engagements were part of efforts to draw attention to what it described as Kanu’s “unlawful detention” and concerns affecting certain religious communities.

The advocates claimed their activities focus on peaceful dialogue, legal advocacy, and diplomatic channels to encourage what they called a lawful resolution to the long-running Biafra question. They also maintained that their campaign is driven by “principle and persistence,” rather than financial influence.

However, there has been no immediate official response from Nigerian authorities regarding the claims made in the video or the alleged diplomatic engagements.

The Biafra agitation and the legal battles involving Nnamdi Kanu remain subjects of significant national and international debate, with differing perspectives among stakeholders on issues of sovereignty, security, and human rights.
